Denny’s Diner – Americas Diner – is a great place to go to eat. You can have breakfast all day long, which means there’s never a bad time to order pancakes! You don’t have to want breakfast to eat at Denny’s and thats why we love it. If you’re craving a nice cooked breakfast with pancakes on the side but your friends want a burger or a chicken skillet then great news… Denny’s offer all of these options and more, check out their menu here.Continue reading
This may not be the start of the planning, but it is what we have planned and paid for so far. Okay so when we came back from Florida we had instant blues that made us want to go back ASAP. However we don’t have the money to go back to Florida so we have opted for Disneyland Paris. We did book this Paris holiday last year (2018), I’ve been meaning to do this post ever since!!
We randomly decided that we wanted a night away. Both of us always enjoy staying in Lancaster so thats where we decided to go, just for the night. In this post we are going to talk about staying at the Holiday Inn for the first time, how cold Lancaster is in January and our favourite place to get pizza (not just in Lancaster, our favourite place anyway).
Better late than never? The end of 2018 and beginning of 2019 have been a little harder than we’d have liked but that shouldn’t stop the blogging! This post is a little insight into what we are going to do and what we would like to do in 2019.
We hope you all have a fantastic year!
We went for a little trip to get into the festive mood; seeing some Christmas markets! We went down to the south UK to see Christmas markets in Winchester, Southampton and London. We love seeing the Christmas lights and eating caramelised nuts and sautéed potatoes! (We basically go for the food).
We call it the ‘Dog Cottage’ because we go once a year to a cottage that allows you to take your dogs with you and we take 2 dogs; a chihuahua and a labrador.
We looked at a cottage that was near to some nice walks that us and the dogs could enjoy, it also helps to stay active and not be shopping. We had several requirements that included; a fenced garden so the dogs cannot get out, nice clean and spacious cottage, 2 bedrooms and a large garden.
It’s annoying when you have a free weekend and want to go out but you’re not sure where to go. We get this sometimes, where we try our hardest to think of new places to go to, or things to do and we resort to Google. But sometimes even Google doesn’t really help us.
So we’ve created a list of places in the Northwest of England where we enjoy going, or resort to when we have no-where else to go. So if you’re bored or want to go somewhere new, try out these places. We have visited all of the places on this list so if there are any questions feel free to ask us!
We started this blog in the middle of 2017, not sure what to expect but it has been good. It makes for a great online diary that you get to share with the world, so we want to share with you our plans for 2018.
I can’t say every single thing that we are going to be doing in 2018, as we can wake up on a Saturday and there and then decide to go somewhere like; the Welsh Mountain Zoo, Chester Zoo, Alton Towers, Blackpool, Warwick Castle, or anywhere else. Or the week before plan to go to Legoland. As long as we know we are able to (around work etc) then we will go and do it.
Decorating the house for Christmas is something we all love to do, it gives you the Christmassy feel, with music on and testing out the lights before putting them up.
It also helps that my Mum was sent a Christmas tree (REAL TREE) in the post by a friend, that came with lights and decorations. How cute?!
Now I don’t know about anyone else, but I love and would hate to miss out on decorating the house. However I also get very stressed that things aren’t going in the correct place; someone isn’t listening; everyones talking over each other; someone needs a hand etc. There’s always an issue or two and that didn’t change for 2017.
Being able to afford random weekends away or day trips out isn’t always easy. Especially considering I work a minimum wage job, and work around 26 hours a week. Combine this with having my own outgoings (such as my car, bills, food, etc) there is not much left over to spend on the month.
I’m writing this blog with a smile on my face because despite my lack of money and complaints, we have just booked another little weekend away and it includes a trip back to where I grew up! I am super excited.
Here I will discuss a number of ways that you can make your money go further and have fun with it. This month I got one of my lowest wages and we are going for 2 long weekends away and have just bought ourselves Merlin Annual Passes. So if you really want to do something you will find a way to do it.
