So it’s felt like forever since being in Alton Towers (November 4th), and we decided we wanted to go to opening day because we miss being in the park. It was a very successful day for us, and as well as telling you what we did we will also be detailing how we got the most out of the day below: Also check out our video of the day here.Continue reading

Soon all the theme parks in the UK will be open again for the season. Places such as Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Chessington World Of Adventures are already open. This post will include our hints/tips for going to the theme parks and what we like to do/prep before we go.Continue reading
We always like to go somewhere new, have a little adventure and see what we can find in the UK. This week we asked Twitter where we should go and @BritVoyage (her blog is here) suggested the Forest of Bowland. I didn’t realise we had been there before, but only a small part of it, so I had a little look online at what is there and well, this is what we did…Continue reading
As explained in our previous post ‘Why Denny’s Diner?‘ we enjoy dining at Denny’s and we love the journeys we have to make to physically get there too. This post is going to be all about our experience at Denny’s Glasgow. I will tell you now that our recent visit was gifted, as Denny’s very kindly paid for all of our food. However we loved Denny’s before this, and we still love them! We would have still visited Denny’s and we would have still posted this blog even if we had paid for the meals ourselves.Continue reading
Denny’s Diner – Americas Diner – is a great place to go to eat. You can have breakfast all day long, which means there’s never a bad time to order pancakes! You don’t have to want breakfast to eat at Denny’s and thats why we love it. If you’re craving a nice cooked breakfast with pancakes on the side but your friends want a burger or a chicken skillet then great news… Denny’s offer all of these options and more, check out their menu here.Continue reading
We like to fill January with random days out, especially with ‘January Blues’ it is nice to stay busy. So we randomly came across this ‘secret nuclear bunker’ online – we sometimes just Google ‘things to do in …….’ and pick an area just to see if there’s anything we’ve not done.
The Hack Green Secret Nuclear Bunker is a former government-owned nuclear bunker located at Hack Green, Cheshire.Continue reading
We randomly decided that we wanted a night away. Both of us always enjoy staying in Lancaster so thats where we decided to go, just for the night. In this post we are going to talk about staying at the Holiday Inn for the first time, how cold Lancaster is in January and our favourite place to get pizza (not just in Lancaster, our favourite place anyway).
Better late than never? The end of 2018 and beginning of 2019 have been a little harder than we’d have liked but that shouldn’t stop the blogging! This post is a little insight into what we are going to do and what we would like to do in 2019.
We hope you all have a fantastic year!
“Yes!” is the short answer, but then that wouldn’t be much of a blog post! If you’ve never heard of Icee, then let me explain with this extract from the Icee Wiki page…
“The Icee Company is an American beverage company located in Ontario, California, United States. Its flagship product is the Icee which is a frozen carbonated beverage available in fruit and soda flavors”
Due to living in the North of England, getting to places such as Legoland, Thorpe Park and Chessington World of Adventures isn’t easy to do as a day trip. So just like we did back in October, we decided to go and spend a few days visiting the different parks with our Merlin Annual Passes.
The plan was:
- Warwick Castle on the way down (Saturday),
- Chessington World of Adventures (Sunday),
- Legoland (Monday),
- Thorpe Park and then straight home (Tuesday).
