As explained in our previous post ‘Why Denny’s Diner?‘ we enjoy dining at Denny’s and we love the journeys we have to make to physically get there too. This post is going to be all about our experience at Denny’s Glasgow. I will tell you now that our recent visit was gifted, as Denny’s very kindly paid for all of our food. However we loved Denny’s before this, and we still love them! We would have still visited Denny’s and we would have still posted this blog even if we had paid for the meals ourselves.

The Denny’s Glasgow sign sits on top of a huge fork. It looks great at night!

Denny’s Diner – Americas Diner – is a great place to go to eat. You can have breakfast all day long, which means there’s never a bad time to order pancakes! You don’t have to want breakfast to eat at Denny’s and thats why we love it. If you’re craving a nice cooked breakfast with pancakes on the side but your friends want a burger or a chicken skillet then great news… Denny’s offer all of these options and more, check out their menu here.

We like to fill January with random days out, especially with ‘January Blues’ it is nice to stay busy. So we randomly came across this ‘secret nuclear bunker’ online – we sometimes just Google ‘things to do in …….’ and pick an area just to see if there’s anything we’ve not done.

The Hack Green Secret Nuclear Bunker is a former government-owned nuclear bunker located at Hack Green, Cheshire.

We randomly decided that we wanted a night away. Both of us always enjoy staying in Lancaster so thats where we decided to go, just for the night. In this post we are going to talk about staying at the Holiday Inn for the first time, how cold Lancaster is in January and our favourite place to get pizza (not just in Lancaster, our favourite place anyway).

We hope you all have a fantastic year!

“Yes!” is the short answer, but then that wouldn’t be much of a blog post! If you’ve never heard of Icee, then let me explain with this extract from the Icee Wiki page…

“The Icee Company is an American beverage company located in Ontario, California, United States. Its flagship product is the Icee which is a frozen carbonated beverage available in fruit and soda flavors

Due to living in the North of England, getting to places such as Legoland, Thorpe Park and Chessington World of Adventures isn’t easy to do as a day trip. So just like we did back in October, we decided to go and spend a few days visiting the different parks with our Merlin Annual Passes

The plan was:

  1. Warwick Castle on the way down (Saturday),
  2. Chessington World of Adventures (Sunday),
  3. Legoland (Monday),
  4. Thorpe Park and then straight home (Tuesday).

We call it the ‘Dog Cottage’ because we go once a year to a cottage that allows you to take your dogs with you and we take 2 dogs; a chihuahua and a labrador.

We looked at a cottage that was near to some nice walks that us and the dogs could enjoy, it also helps to stay active and not be shopping. We had several requirements that included; a fenced garden so the dogs cannot get out, nice clean and spacious cottage, 2 bedrooms and a large garden.

Since discovering The Gallery at the Odeon cinema, I find it hard to watch a long film (2 hours or longer) without sitting up there. It’s not the cheapest option, so we only sit up there when there’s a good film out such as the new Star Wars films or Avengers or a film we have been wanting to see for a while.

This has to be my favourite way to watch any film, our most recent visit wasn’t the best however there wasn’t anything that would stop me from going up there again.
